Key Components of PMGKY
A. PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY)
- Free foodgrain (5 kg rice/wheat + 1 kg pulses) per person per month.
- For National Food Security Act (NFSA) beneficiaries.
- Extended multiple times — until December 2023.
- Replaced by free ration under NFSA from January 2024 onwards.
B. Direct Benefit Transfers (DBT)
