Life Certificate is a proof of existence produced to an authorised pension distributor or agency such as bank or post office by an individual stating that he/she is alive. जीवन प्रमाण पत्र एक अधिकृत पेंशन वितरक या एजेंसी जैसे बैंक या डाकघर को एक व्यक्ति द्वारा यह कहते हुए प्रस्तुत किया जाता है कि वह जीवित है।
The government and insurance companies insist on this certificate before making pension or annuity payments. पेंशन या वार्षिकी भुगतान करने से पहले सरकार और बीमा कंपनियां इस प्रमाण पत्र पर जोर देती हैं।

To provide relief to pensioners from physical verification, the Centre launched Jeevan Pramaan or a Digital Life Certificate (DLC) for pensioners, in 2014. Any pension sanctioning authority, including railways, EPFO, RBI and State/Central government, if on-boarded to Jeevan Pramaan, is eligible for obtaining DLC. Similarly, insurance companies such as Bajaj Allianz Life, too have started accepting DLC and have made the entire process online. रेलवे, ईपीएफओ, आरबीआई और राज्य/केंद्र सरकार सहित कोई भी पेंशन स्वीकृति प्राधिकरण, यदि जीवन प्रमाण से जुड़ा है, डीएलसी प्राप्त करने के लिए पात्र है। इसी तरह, बजाज आलियांज लाइफ जैसी बीमा कंपनियों ने भी डीएलसी स्वीकार करना शुरू कर दिया है और पूरी प्रक्रिया को ऑनलाइन कर दिया है।
Advantage of DLC: It helps avoid the hassle of visiting the branch as the life certificate is generated digitally and automatically transferred to the pension disbursing agency. This helps save a lot of time and prevents unnecessary delay. डीएलसी का लाभ: यह शाखा में जाने की परेशानी से बचने में मदद करता है क्योंकि जीवन प्रमाण पत्र डिजिटल रूप से उत्पन्न होता है और स्वचालित रूप से पेंशन वितरण एजेंसी को स्थानांतरित कर दिया जाता है। यह बहुत समय बचाने में मदद करता है और अनावश्यक देरी को रोकता है।
To avail DLC service, a customer can contact the nearest post office or place a request for a doorstep visit by the postman/Grameen Dak Sevak. डीएलसी सेवा का लाभ उठाने के लिए, ग्राहक निकटतम डाकघर से संपर्क कर सकता है या डाकिया/ग्रामीण डाक सेवक द्वारा घर पर आने का अनुरोध कर सकता है।
