Centre signals tilt towards small cars in CAFE-3 norms
BUSINESS LINE : The government is expected to extend support for small cars under the upcoming Corporate Average Fuel Efficiency (CAFE III) norms, arguing that India still has a large base of small-car buyers and that many two-wheeler users cannot directly upgrade to bigger cars or electric vehicles (EVs) because of cost constraints.

US, Switzerland to finalise deal slashing tariffs from 39% to 15%; pharma, gold smelting and meat exports in focus
November 15 Mint News: The US and Switzerland have reached a deal to cut tariffs on Swiss goods from 39% to 15%, easing the pressure created by Trump’s earlier surprise tariff hike. In exchange, Switzerland will invest $200 billion in the US and buy more Boeing planes, while also opening limited duty-free quotas for meat imports. Centre releases draft Seeds Bill; industry welcomes; farm outfits cautious
November 14 The Hindi: The Centre has released a new Seeds Bill, 2025 to replace old seed laws and ensure farmers get good-quality seeds at fair prices. The Bill requires all seed dealers to register, sets strict quality standards, and allows easier import of new seed varieties for research.
